✨It’s time✨

It’s sourdough time!! 🥖🥯🍞

It’s been YEARS since I was introduced to the topic of making my own sourdough. Every time I consumed content about making it, it always seemed too hard, too complicated and too lengthy!!

Today, I saw a reel from a girl (will post in my highlight called “starter”) and she explained how to make a sourdough starter so well it just made so much sense to me! I finally felt ready to tackle the task of making my own starter…

I’m a little bit hesitant about the success of it as I’m starting in winter and just as the nights are becoming bitterly cold!

I’m excited to give it a go though and I will be documenting the journey on here about my new sourdough project 😍

This past weekend, I stepped into the water and said “yes” to Jesus. 🙌🏼 This year, I decided it was time to devote myself to the Lord and align my life with His ways. I know I still have a long way to go in learning more about His path and making these new habits a part of my everyday life. I have now let go of my past self and step into this new life that I have been so wonderfully given. I am happy to let the old Carina go and say goodbye without holding onto anymore guilt or shame. ❤️

Really proud of my Easter baking this year. I wanted to do hot cross buns and two types of biscuits. Usually I am one to get to the task and say, “nah, maybe next year” but this year I have been trying to push past whatever is holding me back in anything and just do it!

And I must admit they all tasted pretty good! Feeling very blessed and grateful to be able to make an abundance of yummy food. 🩷

Studying as a busy mum isn’t easy but it’s possible! Here are my real-life tips for fitting study into the chaos. You’ve got this, mama! 📖🫶🏼🌸

Here’s the recipe for my meal prep/family size zucchini slice. I made a double batch but I’ll post everything as if you were to make one tray 🫶🏼

You’ll need:
• 12 eggs
• 2.5 cups plain flour
• 2 carrots, shredded
• 1.5 large zucchinis, shredded
• 1.5 cups shredded cheese
• 2 cups cherry tomatoes, chopped
• 250g bacon, baked and chopped
• 1 small onion, diced
• 1.5 cloves garlic, minced
• Salt & pepper to taste

How to make it:
1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (fan-forced).
2. Prep all your ingredients (as pictured) and pop everything into a large mixing bowl.
3. Mix until well combined.
4. Line a large baking tray with olive oil or your preferred oil/butter.
5. Pour in the mixture and spread evenly.
6. Bake for around 30–40 minutes or until golden and cooked through.
7. Let it cool for 5–10 minutes before slicing.

That’s it!

So simple, and seriously delicious. Let me know if you try it! 🫶🏼

Our grass has been dead for a long time and this week is the week we started its recovery. Which means our dog, Barnaby, needed to be blocked off from the grass so that we can give it a bit of a chance to grow!

I have nothing posted on here anymore as I’m completely re-thinking my social media presence SO I thought I should post at least something on here.

I’m excited to announce that I am writing a self-help e-book for my audience at absolutely no charge for whoever wants to download and follow along.

I am going to be taking a new approach to social media and do it for myself this time, not for anyone else… I have committed to doing my 4 week self-help guide alongside anyone who wishes to do it too. I’m hoping that it’ll be finished in early December and I will be documenting my process on here and possibly TikTok/YT too.
